Gladys and Mildred and are life long friends since childhood. They have just died and are on their way to the Heaven. Chatting as they queue towards the Pearly Gates.
Gladys: Hello Mildred, fancy meeting you here.
Mildred: Wow, yes. What happened to you? How did you die?
Gladys: I froze to death.
Mildred: How horrible. How come?
Gladys: It wasn’t so bad. After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm and sleepy. I saw light and finally died a peaceful death. What about you?
Mildred: Not as serene as you I’m afraid. I died of a massive heart attack. I suspected that my husband was cheating on me, so I came home early from work, hoping to catch him in the act. However, I found him all by himself watching TV.
Gladys: So, what happened?
Mildred: I was so sure there was another woman somewhere that I started running all over the house looking. Upstairs, downstairs, all over the place. I ran up to the loft and and down into the cellar. I searched under each bed and in every wardrobe. I turned the garage and shed inside out, but I couldn’t find anyone anywhere. I kept this up until I had looked everywhere and finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died.
Gladys: Oh Mildred, I’m so sorry. That’s awful. But if you’d have looked in the freezer we’d both be alive!
