The Dickens Martini

299

Bill Sikes and Fagin have popped into the One Tun Inn over in Saffon Hill after work and order a couple of pints of ale. As they drink, they count their earnings of the day. Better than the daily norm, Sikes wants to celebrate the takings and offers to buy Fagin a cocktail. When Sikes asks, Fagin says he fancies a Dry Martini and so Sikes orders two with the waitress.

The waitress asks whether the gentlemen would prefer gin or vodka and whether they be shaken or stirred? Sikes ordered vodka shaken while Fagin orders gin stirred. As the waitress finishes the drinks, she turns and asks "Olive or Twist?"
